ABSTRACT:The objective of this study was to examine the impact of mental skill training on the decision-making ability and sports proficiency of female basketball players. Selected players were provided a mental skill training program including techniques like attention control, confidence building, mental imagery, goal setting, and stress management. A pre-test and post-test methodology was used. Results indicated significant improvements in decision-making, quick reaction time, strategic selection, and overall sports proficiency. The findings suggest that coaches should integrate regular mental skill training into their programs.
