ABSTRACT:This approach not only diversifies farmers’ income sources but also enhances rural livelihoods, preserves cultural heritage, and encourages environmentally responsible practices. By attracting visitors to farms and rural landscapes, agri-tourism creates employment opportunities, supports local economies, and fosters awareness about sustainable agriculture. However, its development is constrained by several challenges, including inadequate infrastructure, limited access to finance, lack of marketing skills, and insufficient policy support. Additionally, issues such as environmental degradation, cultural commodification, and seasonal demand fluctuations can hinder long-term sustainability. Addressing these challenges requires coordinated efforts involving government policies, community participation, capacity building, and investment in rural infrastructure. When effectively managed, agri-tourism can serve as a viable tool for achieving inclusive growth, environmental conservation, and socio-economic development in developing nations.
