Abstract :This research focuses on the topic “A Study of Undergraduate Youths’ Attitudes Toward Indian Traditional Games in the Digital Age.” In the present time, the extensive influence of digital technology and online gaming is clearly visible in the lives of young people, leading to a decline in the popularity of traditional games. This study seeks to understand the attitudes and perspectives of undergraduate students toward Indian traditional games—such as kabaddi, kho-kho, gilli-danda, pitthu, and others—amid the impact of modern technology.
As part of the study, data were collected through surveys from students of various undergraduate colleges. Analysis of the collected data reveals that most youths consider traditional games an important part of cultural heritage; however, due to the increasing attraction toward digital media, they experience reduced engagement with these games. The research also presents policy-oriented suggestions for the preservation and promotion of traditional games, such as reintroducing traditional games into the education system, promoting them through digital platforms, and spreading awareness through social programs.
